Shuga features 'Delicate Shades' collection by Vlisco

I was flicking through Bella Naija the other day and I came across these magnificent illustrations by renowned illustrator and photographer by the name of Sabine Pierper. www.Vlisco.com collaborated with Sabine to bring the ‘Delicate Shades collection. Vlisco introduced it as a collection mad up of fabrics, bags and accessories. This collection has been available since the 1^st of November 2011 in Africa and on www.Vlisco.com

Adam's Apple-the movie

The other day my part Ghanaian friend Felisha got me to watch this Ghanaian movie some weeks ago and boy was i hooked it had a part 1-10 and usually i get put off with these African movies that just get prolonged for no damn reason but this movie in particular was.....the bomb.
the outfits were killing me in every scene...I don't really remember how great the acting was or the story line all i know is that God has truly blessed the stylist can't seem to find his/her name but all i have to say is when i do find his/her store, its going down.

A NEW ERA-the birth of Koosh-Ty by Shuga accessories

So on September 10th 2011 i sat down to review my life and realized i was doing well but i wanted more for myself....it didn't feel like i was reaching my full potentials.

That's when it hit me, my heritage had already given me an upper hand in life and i had not taken not of it. i was then more than ever determined to take full advantage of my culture ......down know what i'm talking about yet? OK then check this out

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BABY! It hit me hard.....PRINTS PRINTS PRINT-that was my calling....and i was glad that yet again I had found that spot on the bed of life :)

NOW what to do with these PRINTS PRINTS PRINTS?

How about....

I had two options, it was either I GO HARD or I GO HOME.......well then what do you think i did?

Shuga Apparel @ Ms curvaceous (last show as Shuga Apparel)

Ms curvaceous...firstly i will just like to say a big whats up to all my fellow Curvaceous sisters out there :)
This was an event celebrating all thing curvy UK size 12-22 and i was loving it especially for the fact that i was again invited to exhibit my BRAND NEW plus sized collection (I love my life)

this was a modelling competition where 15 ladies had to show they had the brains, talent and beauty to hold the title of Ms Curvaceous UK for the whole year of 2011 and then also win a bunch of other stuff and a modeling contract.

Here we have for of the contestants who chose to be styled by yours truly...oh how they had faith in me.

and after all the huffing and puffing I present to you ms curvaceous UK 2011

And she won the competition in Shuga Apparel-SHIMPLES!!!

Shuga Apparel @ Mr and Mrs Runway 2010

As the saying goes....Unto bigger and better things. that is exactly what Shuga Apparel went unto.
This was my first official fashion show i'm talking televised and an audience of almost 2 thousand people I'm getting anxious just thinking about how excited i was days before the show and getting to work with such beautiful models *grins*

I had been invited to exhibit a particular item from my first collection which had a lot of approval from the first show I did, but this Mr and Mrs runway show I was invited to was themes African designers so Ithought to spice up the garment a bit to suit the occasion.......

Oh i guess i lied when i said a bit i meant i re-made the whole garment in Ankara to suit the occasion he-he.

Then I added a bit on the side so my master piece wouldn't feel so lonely

You know how when you get on the bed to take a good long rest that will do you a great deal of good, you first try so many positions before you then find the perfect spot? yeah well that's what 'Shuga Apparel was a trial position before I then found the perfect spot (being Koosh-Ty by Shuga)

At first I tried my hand with customizing a plain white tee..it was coming along great until I got bored...it just wasn't me :(

Then i tried my hand @ sewing my first ever complete garment inspired by the London underground tube map this was after a 2 year fashion course though *smiles* I had found my perfect position on the bed of life.
